PRSA/BOSTON OFFERS $2000 SCHOLARSHIP GRANT PROGRAM FOR COMMUNICATIONS STUDENTS AND RESEARCHER APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 29, 2009 BOSTON, Mass. (April 7, 2009) -- The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Boston Chapter is accepting applications for its 2009-2010 Scholarship Grant Program, which provides financial support – on the basis of financial need and academic merit – to worthy college students or researchers in the communications field. The deadline for applications is May 29, 2009. The winner will be announced at a chapter meeting in fall 2009. The Public Relations Society of America, based in New York City, is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals, with the Boston Chapter as one of the organization’s largest chapters. Chartered in 1948, The Society has nearly 32,000 professional and student members. PRSA is organized into more than 100 Chapters nationwide, representing business and industry, counseling firms, independent practitioners, military, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and nonprofit organizations. The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has nearly 300 Chapters at colleges and universities throughout the United States.
