The Boston Chapter of the PRSA offers local communications practitioners plenty of opportunities to broaden their horizons and hear about the latest trends in the public relations field. Our two major programming efforts are monthly chapter meetings and a professional development seminar series. Both complement the professional development programs offered by National PRSA.

Monthly Chapter Programs

Chapter meetings are typically held from 6-8:30 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. All meetings allow time for networking and feature a keynote speaker. Past meetings have presented speakers on:

• Web maturation
• Demographic trends and the effects on PR and advertising
• Creativity and career planning
• Public affairs research
• Integrated public relations and marketing communications strategies
• Brand marketing

Professional Development

To help PR professionals develop new tools and techniques, the Boston Chapter offers a series of professional development seminars. They are designed to meet the needs of professionals at all levels and are structured as in-depth, hands-on learning experiences with direct applications to daily work. The seminars are scheduled in the spring and/or fall and are offered in short blocks of time to make them convenient for working professionals. Past seminars have been offered on such topics as:
